How the drywall and paint calculator works
The calculator multiplies total wall run by wall height, subtracts openings, then divides by the selected sheet size. Paint gallons are based on net wall area, coat count and coverage per gallon.

What board size should I use?
4 x 8 sheets are easy to handle. 4 x 10 and 4 x 12 sheets can reduce seams when access and crew size allow.
Does this include ceilings?
The default input is wall area. Add ceiling area by increasing total area or run a separate takeoff for ceilings.
